Refund & Cancellation Policy
Our policy is transparent by design. Every stage of our milestone payment model has a clear, published cancellation rule.

Staged Payment Model
GV Diamonds operates a milestone-based payment model for all made-to-order and bespoke pieces. Refund eligibility is tied directly to the production milestone reached at the time of cancellation. This model is designed to protect both parties — you approve each stage before the next payment is due.
Stage-by-Stage Cancellation Terms
Stage 1 — Before CAD Design Approval
100% refundable
If you cancel your order after placing the Booking Deposit but before approving the 3D CAD design, you are entitled to a full refund of all amounts paid. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
Stage 2 — After CAD Approval, Before Production Payment
Booking Deposit non-refundable
Once you approve the 3D CAD design, the Booking Deposit is non-refundable. This covers the design and sourcing work undertaken. No further payment is charged until you choose to proceed.
Stage 3 — After Production Payment
Production Payment non-refundable
After the Production Payment is received, casting and stone setting begin. The Production Payment is non-refundable at this stage. The Final Balance has not yet been charged.
Stage 4 — After QC Approval & Dispatch
No cash refund
Once you have approved the final quality-check photos/video and the piece has been dispatched, cash refunds are not available. You may be eligible for an Exchange or Buyback under our separate programme — see below.
Ready-to-Ship Items
For any item listed as "Ready to Ship" (in-stock, not made to order), the following applies:
- —Cancellation before dispatch: full refund within 7 business days.
- —Return after delivery: eligible within 7 days of receipt, if the item is unworn and in original packaging with all certificates. Shipping costs for returns are borne by the customer.
- —Refund (once item is received and inspected): processed within 14 business days.
Defective or Damaged Items
If your piece arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. GV Diamonds will arrange collection at our cost and either repair the piece or offer a full replacement. We do not offer cash refunds for items damaged in transit where our insurance claim is honoured — replacement value is covered.
Buyback & Exchange vs Refund
Our Buyback Programme (cash out) and Exchange Programme (store credit) are separate from this Refund Policy and apply to pieces already delivered and owned. They are not a substitute for the per-stage refund terms above, nor are they affected by this policy. See the Buyback page for those terms.
